I really enjoyed this one. It was a little hard to get to grips with what was going on originally, but once I realized how to manage the ship's heat, speed, and firepower I had a great time. The visuals, music, and sound effects are wonderfully 8-bit. I think one of the biggest points of confusion for me is that these is no visual on the ship for when the shield is activated or not, which makes it harder to realize when the ship actually susceptible to damage. I wish the turret was a little more predictable as well; it would often shoot an asteroid careening by instead of the one about to smash into the ship. I would to see this idea expanded more because there area lot of neat ideas and interactions here.

Glad to hear it was enjoyable once you got the handle on it! Totally agree with your points on improvements too. For the sake of explaination, I added the hull and "shield" a few hours before release, and the turret's code is too simple, hence their lacking nature.
