I enjoyed this a lot! The mechanic is simple, balancing between buying more rooms vs. collecting more shards, and it worked quite well I think. The sound design was also on point, I got a little jump-scared when I got eaten by a big fish once as I was exiting a room! The game does lack some polish (in terms of visuals and feel), but the core loop seems fun! Maybe one other additional mechanic would be good though, since the game play did tend to get a tad bit monotonous over time.
