For me I didn't really figure out until a while of trying it that touching a thread means you should be very precise after that with how you move your mouse to follow the thread. In the tutorial it just says if it succeeds or fails, and it could be misleading and look like it's just random or something, it doesn't say what fail or succeed means or what the thread does, for a while I thought it was supposed to do any number of things. Even when I figured it out it was still pretty hard because often it still wouldn't work.

Sometimes I think it's a one off bug but I think it's actually because sometimes I must be a bit off and it requires it to be pretty precise.

Eventually, lowering the dpi settings of my mouse a little bit (but not too low or it would be worse), as well as trying to move the mouse in a certain way to make it more likely I wouldn't fail on any thread, worked well enough that I could win one round.

I actually really liked this game a lot, it's very unique looking and feeling, and was a one of a kind experience for me. Thanks for making this game, it's really cool!

Thank you for the feedback, I fully agree and understand the frustration. Might come back to it after the rating period to just add a tiny bit more polish and a clear / real tutorial together with some difficulty tuning. Still really glad that you managed to somewhat enjoy it, thank you for giving it the time!
