A really compelling premise, with cool way of interweaving the story and the world! The art is also really gorgeous, with the patchwork / collage elements working really well with the sprites of the non-human characters. Felt very accurate to a certain mouse as well.
Unfortunately I got a crash! Line 1226 - "Through my travels collecting all the pieces, I'd become very familiar with how everyone faired in the present" gives an error of " '/i' closes a text tag that isn't open. " I don't use renpy, but it sounds pretty fixable - thought you should know!
