Please no collab with Lessons in Love. I hate that game with fkd up MC 🙄

(1 edit) (+4)(-2)

While I can agree about the despisable MC, the game is fine. Decent horror.

Either way I've used up enough of my limited brainpower over time converting ASCII in my head in LiL, glad other people did the translating for this post

I didn't even bother translating the stuff in LiL lol at a certain point I just kept moving foward, trying to not turn the wrong corner at the wrong time and either get my ass stuck inside a room full of clocks or finding a girl nailed to a cross, y'know... average everyday shit

I love the story - but the **game** is annoying as fuck. It basically forces you to waste tons of time going through tedious trial and error finding how to trigger events. Luckily this can be solved by mods. Although Selebus hates that people have made these and bans any mention of it on his discord page (along with any mentions of solutions to the ridiculously annoying "puzzles" - which often are entirely about memorizing or writing down numbers to use later...).

If you want to be lead by the hand, that's on you my dude. Like I said the game is fine, not GREATEST OF ALL TIME, but simply... fine :D

"want to be lead by hand" .... thats quite the understatement of not wanting to memorize a 12 digit code, or to waste time MINDLESSLY testing which person to visit and at what location when you want to trigger events. Its not something you have to think out / solve - its literally just guess and check for the sake of making it take more time to get through the game.

Furthermore - its one thing to make the game that pointlessly tedious. Its another to go out of your way to try and prevent people from removing the mindless grunt work.

I don't know when you last played, but it got way better. The MC is still a horrible person, but he has a reason to be (not a good reason, since there aren't any real GOOD reasons for it, but at least A reason). He's also trying to be a better person in general. He's failing horribly, but he's trying, and you get more options to actually choose to be better. Also, some of the horrible stuff he did was literally due to possession, stuff like that. I don't know, I like the game, it actually makes you feel something and care about the characters.

Praise Be!
