i loved the atmosphere, the book and dialogue were both well written and the concept is great. after four attempts i could not find the eye, i feel like i looked at everything but maybe it was just too subtle for me. even given that, i still really enjoyed this and would love to see an expanded version of it cause the execution and idea are just so good.

Hey~ thanks for the comment! We were actually just discussing the idea of hints or some other way of helping the player with the solution. You know how it is with puzzles- you never know how hard/easy something is until other people play it =P

yeah and of course no matter what you do someone still isn't gonna get it and you definitely don't want to make it too easy. my first thought would be to add a sort of chromatic shimmering if you were looking towards it to simulate the idea of it effecting your mental state but that would make it wayyy to easy so a hint system probably is best. great work either way!
