Cool concept but overall it was an exercise in frustration. I stopped playing on the morning of the 2nd day (Tuesday), but after all the janky stuff and bugs the game was just too aggravating.
For one, the tutorial needs a bit of work, took me over an hour to figure out how to get the signal to download as the instructions don't tell you what you need to do. It tells you how to adjust the polarity and the frequency but not what I'm suppose to adjust it to. I eventually realized that you needed to get the input on both to %100. A simple line explaining that would have saved me an hour of frustration. In the story mode the polarity and the frequency keep changing even though the adjustments were set to 0, so I simply couldn't maintain a signal long enough to download, effectively soft-locking me from making progress, and this was my first attempt to get a signal at all. Not sure if this intentional, but I had no idea how to fix it, but at this point I had given up trying to play the game.
2nd, I found the controls to be overly complicated and very unintuitive and once out of the the tutorial and into the main game there didn't seem to be a reference for the more complex button combinations. I also found the inventory system to be very cumbersome.
3rd, I guess there is some kind of event where this Black Square shows up in the sky and starts killing you and there doesn't appear to be anything I can do about it other than try and stay out of line of site, which made it impossible to complete the satellite hash number tasks. This is clearly a scripted event because it kept happening around the same time every time I reloaded, but there's no warning for it and I have no idea how to stop it or fix it. Considering this happens the 2nd day, before I've had a chance to really figure anything out it, it's extremely rough and honestly killed the game for me. Maybe don't start with the Black Square of Death on the 2nd day? Like, warm me up first and let me get my head around the basics before throwing the End Times at me.
I like the concept of the game and the art style. All the weird object interactions are really neat and interesting too, but the issues really stopped me from enjoying most of it. I look forward to full release, assuming all the problems get smoothed out.
