This is a very, very special game. Through the entire thing I had such a powerful sense of wonder, i wanted to cry! Everything about the atmosphere is just so good, i couldn't help but imagine myself taking this point of view and actually being there, reading this book and figuring this all out. It wasn't enough there was beautiful art, the layered music...i had the biggest grin on my face when I realized. I've had the game open on the troll page while I write this comment.

All the little touches, like being able to close the book from the back and it flips over so you can continue to read it again. I really liked how the "items" worked, how you can really just drop them anywhere on the pages. It adds to the puzzle solving, it lets me gather things how I feel they should be gathered and approach them at my own pace, rather than something saying "it doesn't fit here, so it'll go back where you had it." Little things like that have such an impact on how I feel the game perceives me, it's wonderfully done here.

I hope this game, or at the very least the concept, continues in one form or another. "Solving tomes" is such an incredible idea for an experience. I love these characters and this world, I desire to know more! I hope the entire team is proud of what they made, especially since it's complete as well. Job well done.

Thank you so much for your comment <3

If you like the concept, you might like the game this was inspired from, Uncle Albert's Magical Album. It's abandonware now so you can play it for free, even though I'm not sure that you'll be able to find an English version since it was originally a French game. But maybe you can find a let's play?

Comments like *this* put the biggest grins on my face :)

I'm really glad you enjoyed it Carmen, and it really wouldn't have been nearly as good without your help with animating the book. Like seriously I probably would have wasted 3 days making something half as good as what you made in a couple hours, and with that lost time I wouldn't have been able to polish up the last couple rough edges. I owe you big time :P
