This was really good! It was so creepy. And gross haha. The slow build of tension was really well done. At each point as I found stuff out I got slowly more and more tense.
The mini games were fun! I liked the fishing one a lot actually haha. It was so zen. I wished the explanation of what to do when the targets popped up happened BEFORE the targets popped up (it was a frantic second trying to read it and click haha) but other than that they all worked. I also had some issue with the numbers, just kind of accidentally brute forced it. But I think the issue is the numbers really LOOK like they're placed on the pages in a specific order. my first thought actually ways "Oh chronological order!" and then on the 7? I think? there was a small line of text right next to it and I was convinced it was the 0 and this was a hint that the placement/ spacing of the numbers was the hint not the story words and I stopped reading them and just started testing locations. I hope this detailed insight helps, lol sorry for the essay.
*Spoilers*
I'm a big animal person, I have a small farm and while I don't hunt a lot I'm not against it at all, just do it morally and legally and with integrity. It's a necessary part of a healthy eco system in many places etc etc. And as the main character described stuff in this really subtle way that were just so OFF it was really satisfying to have that paid off in the end with the reveal. The way the MC described being wasteful for example. And the emphasis on trophies instead of food / sustainability etc. And "damage" to the animal as opposed to not letting them suffer. Really well planted small details that told a LOT without saying a lot. The ending was SOO creepy!!! The little figures were gross and weird and sad and !!!! Really cool, good job!
