You managed to explain, in a very clear and even relaxing way, an issue that ruins many days and even one’s lifestyle (like how the protagonist starts wasting time on their compulsion to check if everything is okay to calm down). You have no idea how many days and good moments I've spoiled, worrying that I hadn’t locked the door, or how foolish I felt checking five times if I had closed it. The only way to break free from this loop of anxiety, in my personal experience, is to stop wasting time and energy on these obsessive thoughts and learn to trust oneself more, even if it’s hard at first.
