Giving it a Let's Play, though I gotta admit, there's a lot of Ranting and constructive criticism in the video as I rant about my understanding/perception of narrative structures and story-writing. (Don't take it too harshly) - Hoping to have more fun now that I'm at the MEAT of the game but felt like it took too long to get to the 'meat' and there's too much filler/repeating information.
A few things to keep in mind
1 Visual novels are meant to be read, so if that something that you don't enjoy visual novels aren't for you. (remember novel being a story format)
2 Devs for any kind of game with any kind of self insert format can't really be blamed for not putting a path for each players probable choices that would be thousand of if not millions of variables for each instance... has everyone likely would have some kind of different choice even if it changes only slightly.
3 The whole familiar places thing is lore accurate to scp-1471 likely to avoid obsessive members of the scp fanbase.
4 Conflicts of story will likely be revisited or see some kind of explanation given time (although it being ignored is an unfortunate possibility.)
5 Stop worrying what people think and touch the floof of the fluffy goth gf XD.
Also fun note look at her feet in the one computer shot fairly early on, her legs look much lighter and also she likely has the toe beans XD.
