My happiness increased indeed! This game gave me such a warm and fuzzy feeling throughout, it almost felt like ASMR.

I loved the art, the voice acting (lovely accent btw), the ever so slightly eerie but still relaxing music. The mini games are great, the length of the game is just perfect. It’s so good to see that you’re advancing your skills with each game and getting more creative with an engine that is fairly limited compared to others (I’m in a similar shoe with Construct).

Really nicely done Kanity, keep these gems coming!

Glad to hear it! ^^

I know RPG Maker MV has somewhat of a bad rep(?) but really enjoy using it and it does offer a lot of possibilities for creativity :)

Never heard of Construct before! Maybe I should give it a try too (I like trying diff ones!)

100% agreed. Any engine that is more beginner friendly then others (RPG Maker, Construct, GameMaker, ClickTeam Fusion, etc) is going to get a bad rep from some people who encounter a lot of wonky games made by beginners with that engine. A spurious correlation.

I found that getting experienced with such an engine (and it’s limitations) will turbocharge your development speed, which is exactly what you want if you want to focus on game design and trying out things quickly. Maybe you’re doing a gamejam, turning a sticky note into a prototype, or working on a bigger project but doing iterations instead of making big plans.

(Damn, I’m rambling on about this a bit, maybe I should turn this into a blog post or something :D)

Maybe, I would like to read a blogpost on this theme :) Personally I am not really a programmer and being able to make games w/o much or any coding is ofc super helpful and liberating for me, while still encouraging to learn more gradually ^^
