Fantastic visuals, and I immediately recognized the artist from the last jam (Mecha Brawls). I haven't touched 3d yet, but it feels like extremely high-quality and complex work. However, just like in the previous jam, it feels like a huge mismatch between the visuals and the kind of game - the game mechanics/idea doesn't really leverage the cool visuals and to an extent - visuals distract from the puzzle nature of the game. I felt like I would enjoy it playing more as a simpler 2d or even clicker game - moving a 3d character and firing scripted magic felt rather irrelevant and excessive. I think with the level and kind of visuals, it would be much better to make a game that leverages VFX, not a puzzle. Or even if it is a puzzle - the VFX should be at its center rather than a side-effect.
That said - both VFX and the puzzle are quite good, and I enjoyed playing it! Sorry if I sound too critical - it just feels like a wasted opportunity due to a mismatch - for both puzzle (which would be easier to play with simpler visuals) and visuals (which would shine in a game focused on atmosphere and/or VFX).
