Yeah the whole patch thing.. One of those things you as the developer understand but forget that your audience cannot see the code to deduce how it works lol. Lesson learned! 

I think I originally wanted less clicks per patch too but once everything was done, the balance wasn't really there. This was just how it ended up before submission. (I also wanted power ups but didn't have time)

I completely understand that, especially with only having 3 hours to make your game. I think that technically it's impossible to fail a game jam as long as you learned new things about making games, but also the restraints can make things challenging to the point to where it feels like you failed even though you made something cool.
