This is actually quite nice! Pretty sure I've never seen a room escape like this, so I am more than thrilled. The graphics, especially that Windows 98 style hit me the most, as that was pretty much my childhood using a computer. The puzzle is also quite well designed with quite a lot of traps if you aren't paying attention. Overall, this is very nice and I do like it a lot! I do think the game has a lot of text, and you clearly spend a lot of time writing all of those, but I end up not reading all of them and just merely relying upon the escape note you provided. Thank god the notes don't reset when you retry the game.

For a bit of criticism, I'd really want to change the settings after you start the game, especially the mouse sensitivity settings. I myself can get dizzy very easily and would always prefer a slower mouse sensitivity. It's always good to be able to change that during the entirety of the game, as you really need testing via gameplay to select the best sensitivity. I'd also say the game relies too much on memorisation, and as a person who is bad at remembering things, I need to play the game a second time to remember where the security room is. Don't know how to solve this though to be honest, as this is one of the core mechanics of the game. Hmmm...

Anyway, with all that said, this is still a great entry! Well

First of all, thank you SO MUCH for the detailed and comprehensive feedback and constructive criticism, and taking the time to write it down, it's greatly appreciated!

To address a few of the things you said:

We knew that this game wouldn't be for everyone, it relies heavily on text to convey its purpose and to be able to find clue. That's why we added the automatic note taking, to ease people into it, so that you could technically click everywhere without reading and just read the final escape plan at then end. But for the persons mad enough to read the entire thing, we had fun hiding jokes and humour across all the texts.

You can change the settings during gameplay, you just have to do it through the computer, the options menu is inside the "Start" menu. We knew that putting it here would mean no options changing once you left the room and make a run for your life but that's how the game is done.
The game is also meant to be played multiple times, maybe you die on your first attempts, but you learn more knowledge that you can use for your next try. We tried not to make death a punishment, but a part of the game (hence why you keep your clues even through death)

But we understand where your gripes came from, we knew them, that they were part of this game, every game should not appeal to every single person :)

We still hope you had some fun discovering the world we created :)

To complete the other answer, we tried to prevent relying too much on memorization with the colored lines on the floor: the security room is conveniently placed right next to the entrance of the conference room, which can be found by following the orange line. We wanted the player to realize "oh, well I just need to always follow the orange lines to grab all the items", but that was maybe a bit too hard to convey ^^'.

We'll try to be more careful about that for our next games, thank you again for your comprehensive review =)
