Wow a very interesting game idea! I've never played anything like it haha
- Innovation – From what I've seen/played it seems very unique!
- Fun – It is vey text heavy and very overwhelming at first. I wonder if there is a better way to start the game tutorial with more scaffolding that goes step by step with less text on the screen (like you don't need to show ALL the buttons at the start perhaps?) Reading does get a bit tedious.
- Graphics – The little creatures are very cute!! It's a very UI heavy game, and the UI is charming with all the colors, but it does kinda feel like a hot mess haha. I'm not sure about this genre of heavy UI games, but generally I follow the 60-30-10 rule (the UI is 60% color A, 30% color B, and 10% a contrasting highlight color) to feel more professional. Not sure if that would work in this game... but I would look into a color theory that would make it feel more cohesive. Check out some color pallets from Adobe Color or Lospec.
- Audio – Simple and cool, perhaps some more ambient sounds? Wind, creature noises, etc. (overall it was super loud even turning down the volume - I'm wearing headphones with my Windows audio at 50%)
- Polish – I can tell a lot of work has gone into the code and systems and it all seems to work well!! Great job~
Great job completing a fun game! Please check out my game if you like Metroidvanias or platformers :D
