First Asset Forge does the same btw. I updated drivers/restarted the computer - still get the same results.

I'm afraid if your computer heats up while your CPU/GPU aren't under much stress (as per your screenshots) there might be an issue with airflow in your PC. This is not related to Asset Forge, also do mind that Asset Forge isn't the most lightweight software and should be considered on par with running a game.

Sorry, but 20 simple shapes in a scene should not have the same effect as running a game. What will happen when I inevitably expand the scene to have 100, 200 or 500 of those?

The reason I raised this issue is because I am encountering this problem using the Forge alone, but not, say, in Unity that has far more going on in an active scene. Playing a game like Armello also does not bring any temperature or resource-consumption issues either. So it cannot be a problem with the airflow.

But yes, it does not make sense that the CPU/GPU usage has been halved, but the heating up still proceeds. That can be explained with the screenshot timing though, so I should monitor it for longer period of time and see if that was the case. I will report back once I had the chance to do that.

The amount of blocks in a scene is not a really large issue, especially if there's multiple of the same - they're all rendered in an instanced method so again - the amount of blocks will have little effect. I can't raise the temperature of your hardware only if there's excessive use of resources which there isn't. Other than enabling VSync and turning down some of the visual settings there's nothing I can do unfortunately.

Well, I ll allow myself to diasgree with you.
There seems to be an excesive usage of resources on my computer while using the Forge, whether or not the Asset Forge  window is active, see the screenshots. I took the screenshots after waiting for about 10 minutes after opening the Forge. I still have no idea whats going on, since these do not make sense to me.

For comparison, this is with Unity window (the project I am working on) and Blender (random stuff I found online) in the background.

If you would like to run some tests on my computer, or check this out yourself  you are most welcome. In a nutshell, the issue I have right now is that I cannot work in Forge for more than 15 mins straight, and that is a problem for many (obvious) reasons. Now, if this is something you are willing to take a look into, is in your backlog, etc. that would be splendid - I could just wait and see if the situation improves for me. If that is not the case (I guess given that I am solely the only person with this problem it seems), which I totally understand, I just need to request a refund and move on with my life, learn Blender or something.
