I wasn't able to get past the menu on the index. I couldn't see my controllers and I didn't see a targeting ray to interact with the menu. Buttons did nothing. Really sad because your game looks cool!
I think you just have steam not launched ! Try to launch steamVR AND steam before launching the game. It seems that controllers ( pose and buttons) use steam to work ! Say me if it's solve the problem :)
