  • Solid golfing! I bit too touchy on the physics, but it's nice to play! Zombies looked like spiders though. :P

I needed to use a Vive/Wand setup to get this working. Couldn't get it to work with Quest via Link, or Vive/Knuckle setup. Great golf experience! Would love to see more of the mini games fleshed out.

"Would love to see more of the mini games fleshed out" Totally agreed ! I miss some time as I can't work on the gamejam the first week end. I will try to post an update in some time as I have some ideas to improve/finish these minigames.

I'm not familiar with Quest env. Do you know why you can't play the game with Link ?

Bytheway, thanks for yyour feedback !

I'm not sure! It could be something project specific. If you're using SteamVR, it "should" work. With Quest, I got the static camera, and no tracking on the headset.

Developer

Ok, it's the camera spectator for screen. You can press F4 to disable it ! (each new level sadly) Maybe Quest will use the right camera after that.  Thanks for feedback, I will try to find a better fix.

I wasn't able to get past the menu on the index. I couldn't see my controllers and I didn't see a targeting ray to interact with the menu. Buttons did nothing. Really sad because your game looks cool!

I think you just have steam not launched !
Try to launch steamVR AND steam before launching the game. It seems that controllers ( pose and buttons) use steam to work !
Say me if it's solve the problem :)

I got it to work! I love the trail you put on the golf balls!

Developer

thanks ! Glad you finally can play !!

Nice work! I could definitely see this being expanded into a goofy VR golf game. Like I already said on the forum, Golf Story might give some fun inspiration for further uses of the golf club.

I would probably consider tuning down the strength of the hit a little, it felt really difficult to do precise short hits. And the club could probably be a little shorter, but then again I've never played golf in real life, so what do I know. :D

Keep it up!

Developer

thanks !! You're right. The strength force nerfs little tweak. It depends on your swing and controller interpolation so it's not easy. And if this become a good game ;) I need to adapt the size of club depending on size of player like in real golf. Thanks for playing it :)

HTC Vive User here: works perfect and the User model is nice for PC Users to see. How did you do that? Its a nice view for the PC Viewer.

5 star rating sent, because it was sure a lot of work! Thanks for your submission!

While you are here I've played yours, so please check my game out in the button below. I wonder if you can play it with your headset.

Developer

thanks for your feedback !! I added a spectator camera. It s what you talking about ?

Jea how you tell the Pc Window it should use this camera instead of the head of the player. Would be nice to do this in my game

Developer

With Steam VR you just add a new camera and select external camera instead of eye on source of camera

That was a great interpretation of the theme!  Very creative what you did with the golf as a mechanic, keep up the good work!

Check out my entry too!
