Fun little game. I feel like while the music and art are greatly interconnected. The best part for me was the fact you can bounce off walls when you hit them to get some speed. It really makes the emoji feel really squishy and bouncy. Also all of the other small little touches make this feel really complete.

Honestly the biggest problem for me is the level design. With a bit more attention to it some of the level to level moments really wouldn't feel so frustrating. For me this is really a game that if you just sat down and made some really good levels and tightened up the gameplay just a bit would really make a great game down the line.

Legit if this had a level select did not notice it had one already, more well designed levels, and a handful more "upgrades" to spice up gameplay I would be happy to buy this for 5-10 bucks.

Feel free to take a look at my game for the jam as well if you would like to spread the love.

Thank you very much for your kind words! I really should’ve seen the controls problem way earlier– in one of my friend’s / beta-tester’s words, it feels like “you’re moving in gravy”. And I probably shouldn’t have made level design a later priority (that was an overscoping problem). Fortunately, my first time at a week-long, graded game jam makes for a great learning experience. I’m glad that you think the game has potential!
