Single line of pixels and you made a game. Fantastic!

Theme:

Less is more, your game truly demonstrated that by making the game so minimal you reduced it by an entire dimension. A 1D game. This was the first time I ever played a game like this!

Visuals:

So this is interesting to discuss, how do you rate a "1 dimensional object" lol. Honestly visually the game looked fantastic for what it was. I don't want to compare this to something like the last of us or god of war, because this isn't what the game set out to be. It went for a 1D single line of pixels. The game did a great job letting the player know who they were, what the obstacles were, and had a nice uniform interface around it. Solid work here!

Music/Sounds:

This is the main area I wish the game had more time and effort put into. The music was okay but got repetitive fairly quickly. The sound effects were okay as well but nothing phenomenal.  These were very good Atari or game and watch sound effects and music. But I felt like there could have been a slightly larger variety. Again, I wasn't expecting a beautiful orchestrated piece, but something a little more relaxing and less droning/taxing on the ears would have been nice!

Overall:

So overall, I loved this entry. The super simple idea of getting to point A to point B boiled down into s ingle dimension, a single line of pixels, that was fairly well polished for the experience of what it was. I was actually disappointed when I beat the game so quickly, but I was wanting more. So that just goes to show how such a simple idea can really work so well! Congrats on your entry!

I streamed your game here, starts at minute 35:

Thanks. Admittedly I should properly expand it but didn't know how to make it interesting without it getting repetitive. Was going to add a teleport mechanic but didn't know how to make it work properly. I know the music needs improvement because, even I make Lo-Fi music in my spare time, I need to work more on my chip tune with the only other chiptune song I did was the menu theme to another pico-8 game I made called Captain Nimbus and also I need to make a quick simple tune and made one in a short amount of time.

I think you did a great job! You should be proud of this project!
