I love this game, great job! The story is explained very well and sets the theme for the story - of course I'm short, and it makes sense that this would be a mix of a real environment and a child's imagination. It doesn't matter that the story is super simple, it works beautifully.

Next, I loved the use of a room as the main menu, and you get extra kudos for having options at all in a jam game. Adjustable height was nice (with the guide a nice touch), snap turning is perfect. The book with the explanations was welcome, it's great. Of course it's too bad I couldn't play with the billiard table, but I understand this is a jam game. The only thing I'd have changed would have been to make the room smaller so I can get to the door more quickly.

The weapon is super original, and the lighter that sometimes goes off really puts you in the ambiance! I felt the level itself and the game was a pretty good length for a jam, and the environments were very nice.

Oh, and the "no spiders" mode was such a nice touch! You might want to change the "game over" text to match though.

Making the game work on a Quest is an extra level of difficulty, so hats off to you. Well done!

Thanks for the feedback. I am really glad you enjoyed the game. You're right about the trip to the door, in hindsight that should have been shorter. The idea with the room is something I took from other games I have played. I really like it because it helps to make sure the player is comfortable with their movement settings before they get started. I'll have to make the billiard table interactive in the directors cut :p
