I love this game, great job! The story is explained very well and sets the theme for the story - of course I'm short, and it makes sense that this would be a mix of a real environment and a child's imagination. It doesn't matter that the story is super simple, it works beautifully.

Next, I loved the use of a room as the main menu, and you get extra kudos for having options at all in a jam game. Adjustable height was nice (with the guide a nice touch), snap turning is perfect. The book with the explanations was welcome, it's great. Of course it's too bad I couldn't play with the billiard table, but I understand this is a jam game. The only thing I'd have changed would have been to make the room smaller so I can get to the door more quickly.

The weapon is super original, and the lighter that sometimes goes off really puts you in the ambiance! I felt the level itself and the game was a pretty good length for a jam, and the environments were very nice.

Oh, and the "no spiders" mode was such a nice touch! You might want to change the "game over" text to match though.

Making the game work on a Quest is an extra level of difficulty, so hats off to you. Well done!

Thanks for the feedback. I am really glad you enjoyed the game. You're right about the trip to the door, in hindsight that should have been shorter. The idea with the room is something I took from other games I have played. I really like it because it helps to make sure the player is comfortable with their movement settings before they get started. I'll have to make the billiard table interactive in the directors cut :p

Partner here: Very nice feature with the height. The mechanics were really good and immersive. I didn't manage to finish it though but I suppose when the time on my clock is over I win. Good job!

Sooo it is playable. And looks good. But the locomotion system gave me motion sickness from the first second. I'll give it to my partner to play to see if he can manage. Sorry but I am a little sensitive when it comes to that. I'm dizzy already :P

I have now updated the game so that it supports teleport movement.

Starting the game it is frozen. My eyes are shut from my hands. Do you know what may be wrong or what I should do? (HTC Vive)

Developer

That's unfortunate. I will see if I can fix the issue today but I am not 100% confident as I only have a quest headset.

Which controls are needed? Maybe I can press something.

Tried through steam vr too, no luck.

Developer

Unfortunately I'm not sure I have the time or the equipment to make it work on other headset for this jam. Something I will have to be wary of in the future.

Developer

I might have fixed the problem. Would you mind downloading the latest windows zip version and giving it a go? Thanks.

On it!
