Cool spooky look to the maps and enemy battlers, great work there. The story is solid too.

Difficulty seemed extreme on Easy, kept getting stomped by enemies no matter what skills/combos I used. It helped a little when I realized I could stack combos and regular skills, but not enough. It was tough to earn enough souls to buy enough heals to progress, let alone new skills.

Paper's #1, #2, and #3 all show the story of the Ranger graphic when viewed from Key Items.

The default battle victory BGM seemed out of place.

All that said, with a little polish and balancing this could be a fun game, you nailed the environmental aesthetics and story, just needs some mechanical adjustments.

I didn't expect to hear the story being good since it was something i thought on brief moments so that's nice.

Well i guess i fell into the trap that the game was easier since i knew how to play the game so yeah..my bad.

Regarding the default BGM victory theme, i'm sorry since i played the game with the audio turned down or off so yeah..easy to miss.

After the jam i could return to this and tweak a few things to make the experience more enjoyable/intresting.

That's a trap I'm guilty of falling into myself :)

It's definitely already interesting! - some balancing would add more enjoyment, yeah.

I'll give it another go if you release a post-Jam update.

Cool of you to share all of your hard work freely in the Solum Nights Asset pack too.
