I saw your posts on the VisuStella server and I think Action Sequences is definitely the cleanest way to handle it. I haven't tinkered with it in the battle scene without plugins yet, but I would imagine it's possible to tie the common event to particular skills (and it'd also be possible to use that to alter the difficulty for certain skills too!).

Let me know if you run into any issues though and I'll see what I can do! <3

Yes i found a means to make it work by making the parrele common events work in battles (why that isnt default who knows) 


Have you considered or would consider doing a 'in the zone mechanic' in a similar theme 

Which has the button mashing mechanic but the idea of staying within an ideal zone for a period of time 

In my head its a combination of your button mashing mechanic with the zone from the quick time event 

Oooh yeah that's an interesting mechanic that's definitely easy to implement! I'll add it to my suggestion list and see if I can eventually make a new system for it, or an update for this one. :D
