It's quite confusing but pretty interesting. Gave it a good several tries but can't seem to figure out any real tactics how to do better and this ended up being my best one I think.
And that was of course only after reading from here on comments about what the actual goal of the game is. Didn't really like the fact either that I had to read the description on how to play instead of it being given in game. I did have to go back to it too several times to check and verify on what tile did what too which would quite clearly indicate that some kind of tooltip or something in game would be needed. Same goes for the two actions too.
In the end it also ended up glitching on me completely (how appropriate). 😎🤷♂️
Obviously the game is lacking in the audio department. Of course it's not mandatory in a game like this really but it would enhance the experience and for sure would make glitches appearing more apparent etc.
The look was nice and clean but quite static. The glitch effect looked neat but the game overall could have used some more movement and effects like that. On that department too it would have been nice to get some better instant feedback on the production. I'm still very much in the dark on how they produce money and how much stuff like clumping them together as the description said matters and what it the downside of it.
Gave it a few more tries now but no better luck with my new strategy either. I tried to snake around with a one tile wide chain of tiles to better control the glitch spread but didn't work as I expected. The prices increase so fast that the actions might as well not even be there and the random additions even if you try to keep the glitch from spreading is pretty damn brutal.
It's quite demoralising really. Of course all games don't need to be "fun" but a single stage game this brutal where you don't even see any progress no matter the approach is kinda not fun. Maybe having multiple stages (with smaller and easier at first and then ramping up the difficulty) or making it a score based one would give the player some gratification even on failures.
Anyways, good job! 👍 I did enjoy it and in a masochistic way like it too even though I just ranted about everything that was "wrong" with it. 😅
