i've played this and i cannot figured out what i was supossed to do,

i didnt like the graphics of the game, however the graphics in the pixelart section are nice, the hand well draws are well done the problem is more in like the fact that the world doesnt make sense at all, theres no coherence in it, l there are random objects everywhere and it makes it really ugly, also the flying world doesnt look good, i didnt understant why going in a magical portal in the wall lead to a batiment, or why going behind that batiment lead to the begginning of the game, also the textures moving for no reasons like the ground at the begginning of the game or the tyres

On the gameplay side, i didnt know what i was supposed to do, and roaming in the world was a bit boring because theres no ennemy, no platform, you're just walking and the only fun moment to do is the platform moment which is really short, i think you should add more gameplay elements like platforms or ennemies before giving it to test to peoples.

Anyway, i have made a game too and i would like to get feedbacks on it if you wanna try: https://kamigarp.itch.io/hkinspiredgame

Most of the gameplay will involve exploration, puzzle-solving and general platforming. There will be "enemies", but it's going to be more puzzle-like with how to defeat them.

The layout of the demo shouldn't be taken too seriously, it's all just a workspace for me to figure out the system and I thought it would be fun to share it with people. I'll make a real demo someday with more to do.

Keep on working, friend!

yeah i'm curious about how this "real demo" will be when you'll release it, i hope you will share it to me.

Also i had the idea that you should put the input to enter in platformer level on the same key than the input to interact, because both are used to interact with the world.

By the way, it would be really nice if you tried my demo too because no one game me feedbacks yet lol, dont worry its really short

Once the system is fully figured out, I'll basically get to just build the game for real.

I'll probably keep the two buttons separate since I don't want the interact button to interfere with the transition button. If I want to put a switch right next to a door or something, I don't want that to be a problem.
