This feels like some files are corrupted (assuming you did not change anything yourself). Not sure what I could offer besides trying a clean reinstall.

Just for the heck of it I loaded up some VM Ware virtual machines with this program: Windows 7 Pro and Windows 10 Pro (both x64) then ran the game, same problem with the images.
So wjhat I am wondering is there a way to make a script that corrects the problem of setting/moving the imgages in the correct places?
I don't have any mods with more imgaes, just what comes with the zip file...
