This looks like an interesting premise for an old-school arcade game. Nice music. The main character and the snowmen both look cute.

I tried the game 5 times, but each time I died in 1 hit and had no way to continue. Instead, I had to refresh the page. This is far too unforgiving. Multiple lives or hearts would have been good; infinite continues would have been even better.

Also, the controls need more calibration. Movement felt stiff, and jumping didn't quite feel right--it felt like I always fell to the ground too fast. Also, I couldn't figure out how to go down ladders.

Lastly, thematically it felt like lighting a furnace should melt the snowman sitting right next to it, but that didn't happen. :)

Nice effort, and good luck with future jams!

The main issues you mention are the ones I noted on the game page. I did not get to make those work, sadly.

I will agree that the movement feels stiff, I need to code a base script with movement that feels better for the future. As they say: Problem for future me.

We had a few ideas for enemies and the snowman was a last minute addition, as the enemy, but I initially would have loved to have them melt if they got too close to a lit furnace. With more experience, more features will come, so need to crank up my learning speed.

Thanks for the feedback.
