ahoy, i knew i recognized that art from somewhere!
i gave it a go and went through quite a few encounters. here are my thoughts:
193MB for an rpg maker project seems high. check if you packaged things correctly, and if the dimensions for your art/textures is accurate
there's some language changes every now and then, but that's not that big of a deal
the gameplay loop is a bit too straight forward. it's fight -> do in-between fight action -> fight. i haven't had anything different than this at any point. a good starting point would be to encounter an empty room, or perhaps an immediate fight after a previous fight (perhaps if a rat flees, he summoned RATinforcements?). as long as you break the pattern a bit, it's a good idea
i like the style, humor and enemy design. it all fits together well. don't change anything in this area, clearly you are inspired and know what you're doing
there's also a couple of minor things. i instinctively press space for all the text to load instead of watching the textscroll, but the command was interpreted as "continue". the music volume was also quite high
for a first game, it's very impressive! keep up the good work. i encourage you to continue on this and resubmit for DD50
