Please make a longer version. For a game jam it's the perfect length but I really enjoyed playing and would love to be able to upgrade the items even higher. I really wanted to explore the map even more and maybe some bosses around the world like terraria would be a perfect fit.
Great game!

Here are some more ideas that crossed my mind. I'm a game dev too so I understand that it isn't easy to implement some of these things. some of these ideas might not even be how you want your game to be played.
- procedural generation, so every time you play it feels fresh
- Limited workers, Have like 10 workers at the start and you can buy new workers. This will make you more attached to your workers, I didn't really care if one or more workers died since I'll get a new one anyway.
- Allow workers to return to base, this will add another element to the game since you'll have to pay more attention to the oxygen tank. You'll also have to make the decision to go further down to receive rarer gems (at risk your worker will not be able to return) or stay a bit near your base to mine less rarer gems but will be able to keep him alive. (high risk, high reward)
- Instead of having to pay for gold to repair the ship, you need to find ship parts to repair it. You can find these parts hidden around the map and might need to kill some bosses/mobs/aliens to be able to get those parts. Because now I see directly what I need to do to finish the game, which makes it feels short.
- items that you can only use once, for example, you can buy a piece of TNT that you'll only be able to use once and have to buy a new one once you used it.
- Inventory, At the start, you might have only one slot where you can put an item in and you'll be able to buy more slots so you can bring more items (like TNT) with you.
Like I said these are just some ideas and you don't have to do anything with them. It's your game so feel free to do with it what you want to do.
Is there a discord, social or website where I can stay up to date and follow the progress?
Sorry for the slow reply. Thanks so much for your feedback.
We've been working on getting some socials set up. A discord is in progress (although you are welcome to join while we get it set up!).
Best place to stay up to date for now is our twitter which you can find here: https://twitter.com/CREWAdamMatthew
We've already posted some videos of the updates we've made so far :)
Hi Sven! A little late from us, I apologise! But, we're at a place where we are ready to share updates now, so we've got a discord invite link here if you're still interested in following progress: https://discord.gg/hcV65JNnsw
