Interesting take on chess and a great use of the theme. It is incredibly complex and difficult to understand all the rules in the short time I have to play test for rating. Building an indepth tutorial was a great idea. I think there is a lot of potential here and could see a niche community building around this game and seeing how strategies evolve. For the game jam aspect all it needs it a little audio and sound effects and it would have been complete.
