Good effort! The game feels a little unforgiving with the spike hitboxes, but overall it looks pretty cute. I get it though, platformers are hard to code. With a bit more time this could be wonderful.

Here are a few things I’d like to see in the game, if you plan to work more on it afterward:

  • Switching with miscellaneous objects (like the mushroom or the sign), even if they’re useless to progression, just for fun.
  • Having objects break on the spikes rather than causing an instant game over.
  • Perhaps having particular objects be immune to certain hazards, to create more varied gameplay.

Thank you so much! I'm sorry for how hard the game turned out. The spikes' hitboxes definitely need to be smaller. The whole tiles dying and restarting the game when you touch the spike was a bug. The tiles were supposed to be used to    go on top the spikes so the player    can avoid the spikes easily. I really like your idea about switching with almost any object, I'll certainly add that and also special objects that have cool features of their own    if I continue to work on the game.
