I can't rotate manually for some reason, so when I try to aim it won't let me :(
Could you explain what you mean? You should be able to hold rotate mid-air to turn in slow motion and aim. You can’t always rotate on the ground because of how the rigid body physics works, but you can hop (with W) and then rotate to aim and shoot.
