A higher jump would have made it easier, but once I got used to it, it was quite enjoyable! Great game!

VERY DIFFICULT to play but I can see the game is very polished when I play (need to play more to give a much more detailed feedback) but overall a very solid game, really enjoy the idea of this into the game. I think its a player skill issue for me that it is weird for me to control but definitely feels good. Definitely a rage game looking at other people's comments :D

Really good idea, i could see this being a rage game

Submitted(+1)

Hard to play , but once you get a hang of it, it feels good to play!

Heh, I do sort of like the control scheme! I think the platforming aspect of this was actually more interesting than the shooter part. I could totally see this turn into a full length rage platforming game.

Developer

That’s an interesting take. I think it could work as a platformer too with some tweaking to the controls. Will keep in mind if I decide to continue working on this!

Good game for the first one. Keep going. If you want you can rate my game.

I see you're keeping the GMTK Jam "shoot-to-move" tradition alive.

I got stuck in a corner in my first two attempts but eventually got things figured out and made it to wave 5. Well done!

Developer

I’m impressed that you managed to cross the learning curve!! This is actually my first game jam, so I had no idea about the shoot-to-move tradition.. glad to keep it going though!

Game is really well-made, but controlling the gun is a little too difficult for me!

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately, we ran out of time to balance the controls to feel better. It is still possible to master it but the learning curve is bit too high for a jam game. Thanks for playing :)

Really cool idea, love how this game looks and sounds. The colorsheme is very well chosen, the art is minimalistic but looks very good! The gameplay is very interesting and fun, but it is really really difficult, I think I barely reached wave 4.  Very good game!

Developer

If you reached wave 4, you must have gotten pretty good at the controls! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Very cool idea with a nice presentation!

I am just too stupid to play it haha didn't even kill one enemy but I enjoyed playing around with the controls and shooting myself into the air :D

Great game and really nice submission for this jam! Congrats!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I will admit, we did run out of time to tune the difficulty!

I felt like this game was very difficult to control at first, super weird controls, but after a while I ended up getting the hang of it. Cool idea for this jam, a bit like I am bread (i am gun)

I generally enjoyed playing this game! It was a very neat idea presented well. I really felt like a badass sometimes in slow-motion doing this sick flip kills. Well done! And nice job with the polishing! Looked very clean:)

I rather enjoyed it! It has a nice yet unique concept. At first I found it a bit hard but I got the hang of it. Well Done!

It's an interesting game, very creative. I didn't like the music that much, but it has adequate graphics. Sometimes I would get stuck in a corner and couldn't move because the projectile couldn't propel me and jumping wouldn't work, but overall it's a game with an interesting idea. Very good.

Developer(+1)

Getting stuck in the corner is a strange bug that arises from however Godot’s physics engine deals with rigid bodies. I’ve not been able to figure out a fix for that yet. I’m sorry that you didn’t enjoy the music :,( But thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

This is cool! The timings to shoot the targets are kinda tight, even with the slow motion, but otherwise this is very fun to play!

Developer

Noob mistake on my part. Either the hitboxes should’ve been larger or the laser should hit anything it passes through (currently it only hits the spot aimed at when you press shoot). I will fix this if development continues after the jam. I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Fun and well-executed idea. I love the slow-motion in mid-air for aiming. However, it is kind of hard to control. Perhaps increasing the jump height and decreasing the gravity could make it easier for players. It's still a very good game.

Developer (1 edit)

I will try to tweak these values if I continue working on it after the jam. I’m glad you enjoyed it regardless! Regarding the jump height, you can do upto three, and hopping in close succession increases the overall height you gain (as the button adds impulses and not velocity).

Turns out, it was really hard to master, still a very fun game :D

This is a really interesting idea. If fleshed out more I can see it being a quirky shooter platformer!
