Aren't you a fan of Nobuo Uematsu?
The first music really has that characteristic touch: grandiose and emotional. I really like it.
Thank you! I am so glad you mentioned this. YES I am. His SNES soundtracks (and the other Square composers) are what got me interested in music as a child. He's probably my main inspiration for town music in general, for better or worse.
