Should I add better jumping(falling faster, holding spacebar to jump heigher) for the character to not feel too rigid and fake?

There is no clear solution to making the character feel fluid. You just have to keep tweaking values till it feels nice.

Personally, I would make the player accelerate and deaccelerate when moving as well as jumping. Holding spacebar won't make it fluid but can definitely improve the experience.
