Besides it's hard making a game on your own if that's what you've been doing. If so, get team together and try again. But if have a team already just keep trying until it's ready.

Thanks a lot for your feedback and nice words! And you are definitely right, it's impossible to make everyone happy! It's just that a lot of people voiced the same problem and i do think they have solid points. The writing could be a lot more intriguing and there are a lot of spelling mistakes since English isn't my native language and I am just in general not that great at writing. I fear this is the best I am able to create gameplay and writing wise.
I used a few free to use scripts for some things but yes, I actually made it all alone by myself over the last two years. Yeah it's a good suggestion but I sadly don't have the resources or know people to make a team.
But still thanks a lot for your feedback and glad to hear you still enjoyed it^^
English is my native language and I still make plenty of mistakes both in writing and speaking. But that can to anybody like me that have ADD/ ADHD or other mental disabilities. Ever some people who have them make mistakes. It's part of being human. But suggest that you make another attempt when greater resources are available. I also suggest going to conventions where likeminded and talented people gather. Who knows you might get lucky and find what and who you need to progress your vision for this and other games. Also, I would provide my own aid if my resources weren't limited as well.
What particular problem was voiced? I kinda missed it. Bad English is correctable and even games from native speakers have them, so I don't think that should be a cause for stopping development. Otherwise, for story development, you might want to look at https://discord.me/writersblock where people do help out with writing.
Otherwise, if it is a problem with the gameplay itself, you can simply go back to drawing board. Since you have a prototype you can plug in an replacement engine, saving yourself time.
I agree, spelling mistakes as bugs can easily be corrected once found by someone. The problem mainly voices in two reviews were that the story and writing were uninteresting and the combat design was not that fun. I am very creative and have plenty of ideas but I definitely can see that the writing might be not that good since I am not a writer but I didn't thought it was this bad. And in the end I just thought of sharing my game since I had fun making and playing it and thought others might too.
Maybe you could be right, I am not too knowledgeable outside of the rpg maker maker engine, I do like to stay on this engine since I am working with it now for years and think I have a decent understnad how to make things with it but thanks for the suggestion^^
I didn't mean with engine to switch the computer engine, but the game loop. There is one aspect which is somewhat annoying, namely the need to activate all buffs manually at the beginning of the fight. Granted, not all buffs make sense then, but anything you could activate without losing a turn and not needing taken damage or spent SP would benefit from a shortcut. Also, the reset of the focus to the starting point of the wheel is unnecessary - I want to start other buffs and having to scroll again to the category is just wasting time. Or the prices for food seem a bit out of whack, considering you can buy land or a couple of chicken meat (is there a way to cook that stuff?).
But those are more nitpicks in the grand scheme. Not sure if there is an issue for others in the greater game loop. Writingwise I don't have found issues with it by itself. It seems functional and different characters have different voices. Maybe those people have high standards? Maybe I'm less demanding than others? Don't really know. But for spelling mistakes, it would help if you took the text and copied into a word/gdoc file. Then most issues would be caught beforehand.
In general, I am looking forward to your next releases. Creating so many different areas, so many different enemies, so many different transformations and classes along with their abilities and weave everything together into a whole is beyond me. And likely to those who complain. But just because some have dislikes for certain parts, don't lose sight of the parts that deserve praise!
Yes that's what other people also said and I too noticed it's a huge time waste and menuing, I just finished working on a new feature that activate all sense making buff and debuff skills at the start of normal battles that can be turned on and off. There is no way to cook at the moment, food can only be bought in town at several places. But I definitely could add cooking in if it makes sense to have. I don't know If I am able to but I will look into the wheel as well and see if I can change something about it. Yeah the prices for the land and upgrades may be a bit too cheap, I will raise them a little!
The time waste for buff skills at the start of battle definitely is something more people mentioned and I do think its a very good point. This should be a lot better now with the new update, feedback is welcomed. That could be, I am not a writer so I sadly don't have much skill when it comes to that or judging it. And that certainly is a good point as well!
Thanks, glad to hear that you enjoyed it so far!
And you are absolutely right I have jumped the gun a little bit to fast since I was worried then the first review were mainly negative, sorry for the trouble!
I plan on continuing!
