Hi, just tried a new version and it looks like there are some bugs in there. First, MC name sometimes resets to default (Quinn Reid) after reload and all saved files are automatically renamed to Quinn Reid. Not sure if there is a pattern, but it probably happens after MC meets Tahira. Second, after MC comes home (screen "Home, 04:00") there is a one-time-loop if you chose an option "schnitzel". I mean, after that option the same screen comes again, and next time proceeds further. Not sure about other options, didn't check it. Also, could be a minor inconsistence in the personal card ("FROM THE DESK OF AGENT CALRIN CHOI"). My MC has curly hair, short height and standard pronouns, but is described as "diverse hair texture, vertically challenged, non-standard pronouns". "Vertically challenged" seems legit, two others traits - probably not :)

Update: the name reset stops after reaching the root part. Also "Body type" is definitely broken, there is a message "The (set:) macro's 1st value is the boolean value 'false', but should be a VariableToValue (a 'to' or 'into' expression)."

The body type is the only currently open issue, the others have been solved !! Thanks for letting me know, I needed the body type context to hunt down a bigger bug !!

As far as the vertically challenged thing, that's a lame joke, not a bug fjskxbjand. The gag is that you are considered a diverse corporate employee for not having straight hair, not having blue eyes, etc. The bar for corporate diversity being so low as to functionally exclude no one is the joke but in retrospect I'm the only one with the perspective (having coded it) to recognise it at a glance gkdncjsknd

By the way, I stumbled upon another possible bug, looks like the magic type resets to fire after reload.

Actually, could I get more information about the magic type changing? I couldn't replicate the issue so if I could get:

- what magic type was set before it reverted to flame
- on what passage did you reload on?

Hi, I managed to replicate it several times.

My MC is a short blight user with blue eyes and blonde hair (curly), pronouns are She/Her, "obnoxious do-gooder". The magic reset happens somewhere between "You tentatively knock" and "Panic oh God panic". Not sure if a save time matters. In the last try I saved on the screen with the last lines "Luckily your box is silent." and reloaded on the next screen. Oh, and I use Edge browser, just for an information)

By the way, while trying to replicate the magic reset I've got somehow eyes color reset to brown, hair color to black (still curly) and pronouns to They/Them. Not 100% positive though, could be I just forgot to set it, being fixated on a magic :) I can try to replicate it later if necessary.

Also not sure thing, but it could depend on how often or at what moment I check the personality card, because the magic reset happened when I went directly to the Tahita's office without looking in the personality card, and in the case of the (possible) colors and pronouns reset I checked the card almost at every screen. But it's only a suggestion, can also try to replicate, when I have time if you still need it :)

Update: just reloaded the game at the screen where Tahira and MC are staying in front of the club (after making a choice "Distract her"). The magic type resets from Blight to Flame.

Update 2: a couple of other things. First, in the CEO building after "Like someone is trying to open the door without you hearing it." the next screen (with variants "Evade" and "Check who is it") stays for about 1 or 2 seconds and then switches to the next screen automatically. It is still possible to make a choice if you fast enough :) Not sure if it's a bug or you intended it like this. Second, the Irritability, Compassion and probably Charisma counters. When one of them goes up - it will go up every time you open the personality card, and other counters will go down.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you !! I've been sick 😅😅 but I got a corroborating bug report on Tumblr so you're definitely not the only one. Thanks for the super detailed report as well !! So, addressing a few things:

- Evade/Check Who It Is is supposed to be a fast, timed decision !! It's just supposed to convey the urgency of actually making that decision in real time, but it doesn't change the course of the game or nothin

- Personality counters are supposed to go up and down depending on what you pick !! This is meant to let you kind of build a personality despite maybe having varying reactions to things, but I think I mathed the math wrong: that fix'll need to come after I'm better though, because it was written while I was at 100% and I'd hate to see what it looked like writing it at a strong 40% fjdsjfk

- Somehow, despite everything, I STILL can't recreate the bug 😱😱 the other bug report has it happening on frost too, but I've tested on Edge, I've gone over the passages you listed, I've tried saving and reloading immediately, I've tried saving, closing, reopening, and reloading. I've darted around the menus, I've built saves, I've played through from the start, I've tried Tahira's route, I've tried Siruud's route...nothing !!

I'm wondering if it might be some kind of cookie setting in your browser, but I'm not sure what it would need to be set to in order to not wipe the save but mess with it? I've tried it both on my firefox install which is very strict about cookies (so strict that I can't test saves on here djkfddsf) and then I've tried on my pure out of the box Edge install with default cookie settings, and neither had any trouble remembering which magic type I'd set it to. I don't even know what to follow up on at this point ;; I'll keep trying to trip it but it's so wild that you can reliably reproduce it but I can't even accidentally do it once !!

Hi again! I think you're right and the problem is indeed with browser settings. My Edge browser has this bug, I tried Chrome on the same laptop, the bug is still here, I tried Firefox on a different laptop - still positive, then I checked Safari on my iPhone - and the bug is gone! My wild guess is that it has something to do with Autofill option, it's On in all my browsers and is Off in Safari (because I almost never use it lol)

The personality counters bug is still there though. More detailed, it looks like this: if your Compassion is 10, you choose an option which gives +1 to Compassion and open the personality card - Compassion is set to 11, close the card and open it again and Compassion is 12, close, open again - and it's 13 and so on and so on. Basically you can set a personality counter to 100 just by opening and closing the card repeatedly. Hope it helps!

H'm, unfortunately I don't think it's autofill either because on Firefox I have it off but on Edge I have it on, and on neither can I replicate the bug. We're going crazy on Tumblr trying to track this thing down so I'll let you know if we ever find the source dsjhf it's just so wild because literally the only time in game where the game will automatically set your magic is...literally the first screen, where you change it yourself !! Otherwise it's never set or adjusted, just checked !! I even double checked to see if I accidentally set it while trying to check it but nope !!

Also OOF I see what you're saying re: personality bug though: I'll fix that !! Just need to add a line of code.

Fixed the personality bug 🎉 I'm pretty sure anyway. I also made the incremental adjustments I talked about anyway because they make sense to me right now, so that's for healthy me to debate later 😂😂 maybe try the new version (after clearing cache and cookies) and see if the magic bug still exists? maybe I stomped it by accident?

It's gone. I installed Firefox on my first laptop, started the game, reloaded, got the bug, cleaned cookies, cache and everything, started again, reloaded - there is no bug anymore. Tried several times, no bug.

Update: something is not right, I'll keep digging

Update2: OK, I've narrowed it to only one option :)

Started a new game. Saved, loaded, got the bug. Cleared cookies and cache only, started again, got the bug. Cleared cookies+cache+login information, got the bug. Cleared cookies+cache+login+form & search history, started again, the bug is gone. So it looks like "form & search history" is to blame. Hope it helps :)

That's so bizarre it shouldn't beeeeeee that. The browser shouldn't even associate the game like that ????? Something weird is going on !!
