A fun little game! I'm not really sure where the audio cues come in, it would have been really cool if you ahds to attack only when the music does that pulse thing. The tiles in the dark seemed to act a little weird, items being unable to pick up and exploding barrels pausing their explosion. However, it was certainly a neat game and I had a lot of fun. Maybe just look at the judging criteria first. 😅

Thanks for taking the time to comment, I set the traps and barrel explosion base on the special notes of the tune (this is why it pauses when you die :). I have been told my jump scare trap does not feel aligned to the tune which i suppose is to do with the animation length. Music is not a strong area for me leading me to this concept - in my head i had many more trap and actual enemies utilizing the special note but sadly met my limits.

As far as the not picking up in the dark, this was a conscious choice with the goal of showing the importance of the torches and lighting the wall and floor torches to allow easier navigation when the player no torch.
