Despite the legal/moral grey area of cockfights, rat fights and bunny fights, I had a good time catching the different animals and pitting them against each other in a battle to the death.  The overall presentation was nice from the intro scene, the various characters and the great sound effects.  Maybe I'm a bit of a wimp, but would have liked some more effective healing items right at the beginning as I died a couple of times early on. Glad there was a save feature though!

I am glad you gave it a try. The cutscenes and food gathering would have provided you with 30+ chances each day to gather food and healing items though... did you try more than a few days? Did you attempt any of the systems I had? Fishing? RNG? Any of the cutscenes? How'd you feel about them?

I wanted to come back and check it out again today because I saw there  was some teasing of fishing in the one area that I didn't get to do yet. I think I was going about the game wrong last night because I'd water the plants and then go out and fight before saving/sleeping like an idiot, so it took me way too long to collect crops.  Call it one or (14) too many days with too little sleep. Will def update

Came back to my save this morning to check out some of the other parts. Is the plant growth based on the day/night cycle, or in-game time?  While I did water my plants daily, they only were ready to harvest the same day that the game ended. It also felt as though I started getting enough money and materials to cook and craft juuust when I reached that final day, so I didn't get to test those aspects out.

Again, I think the systems that I did engage with are pretty well done (the snappy & straightforward planting and watering, the battle system, the flavour text and little items you could collect all over), it just felt like some things were just out of reach. I think that's a common thing for Jams, though, as we devs get really good at our own games and have all the knowledge, it becomes harder to balance.

BTW good job on making the Canada Goose as terrible as they are irl. One day I'll have my revenge....

This really helped! I am gonna have to make some sort of signal to make it more obvious to pick things up. I'm thinking a test box, maybe...
