Thanks! Yup, lidar games were main inspiration, but I still wanted to do something different, even if a little bit.
The truth is monster was supposed to be 3D in scan, but with some glitchy vertex shaders etc. so yeah, I lacked time to implement everything as I imagined lol

PS how did you feel about transparent backfaces of already scanned object, that lets you see environment you've already walked through?
