couldn't stop laughing when I found secret ending. Amazing game!!

hey, that's great news! looking forward to the full version:))

thank you!
oh, you're right! I didn't notice this gap between wall and floor, thanks for letting me know!^^
haha, yeah, I didn't have enough time again to make sth cooler for the last part :') Btw, did you find the glowing white door there? (You might need to scan around after you fall from stairs)
maybe I'll be able to do sth more polished in the future lol

majority of the textures (and 3D assets) are from https://polyhaven.com/, very cool site! I think I also got some textures from https://3dtextures.me/

thanks for playing!!

Hi! I have recently optimized the game, and since voting has ended I was finally able to upload new build on itch (FindIt_1.2). It should now run ~30fps (I hope?), in case you still wanna try it xD

huh, this game really is *insanely goated*.. congrats on the win!
jokes aside, really nice game! Love the art style, was hoping for more cards, but from what I see new cards aren't added because of the webgl bug?
Overall really liked it, would find true beauty again

Ah, everything's clear now, thank you!!

I liked the atmosphere! Loved how the next stages were introduced in darkness, appearing after turning around
Took me a while to figure out the mini game, but after some trials I got to the end 😅
Tbh I didn't expect the ending (and maybe I'm not sure why did that happen) but I was definitely intrigued with the story when food started to appear
Overall very well polished game, good job!!

oh wow, that was awesome! I really like the idea and the effect, really good game!

love the art style and aesthetics

haha thank you so much!! it means a lot haha
Yeah, I would like to make something bigger out of it😅 I have a few more ideas I wanted to implement but didn't have time for them.. Definitely gotta give them a try haha
Thanks again!!

really liked it! finding way and creating mental map of whole space was really fun

had a problem with grasping how this mechanic works, but it sure is an interesting idea! I really liked the visuals and audio too. Good job!

I really liked the atmosphere in town created by voices of the npcs, really eerie
I was kinda confused in the beginning about what to do, but everything was clear once I found additional instructions in pause menu
Walking around town was little monotonous; but I really liked the visuals and vibe of the hidden room
Btw, I noticed you made your game in Flax engine, I'm curious how did you like it? I haven't used it yet, but I'm thinking about alternatives for unity:p

thank you!:)

Thank you!! Oh, you are right! I've played Eté demo some time ago but I completely forgot about it haha, but it's really pretty
Speaking of mechanics, I think the one that was biggest inspiration for me was Catacombs of Solaris - it uses similar technique of rendering screen capture on 3D objects, except it's quite abstract and more experimental

ooh it's beautiful, I love the mood visuals and audio set
didn't manage to finish the game (got stuck on the tall spiral level lol) but it was really nice!

Oh hey, we both made a horror game with a scanner haha
really like your scanner idea, figuring out the object with only different cross sections is interesting

oh hey, I made a horror game too!

will check your game out tomorrow!

Ah, sorry about that! Didn't have time to properly optimize the game :')
I'll probably fix that right after jam results are announced
Thanks for playing tho!!

Unfortunately no, there is only "bad" ending 😅 didn't have time to add more :')
Thanks for playing tho!!

thank you!! happy you liked the mechanic:)

really enjoyed running around! And aesthetic is really good, too
some sounds felt a bit intense sometimes, and I had a problem with aiming grenades; but apart from that it was cool!

Thank you!:)

I liked it! Got a little startled by the explosion at the start but in an intended way I believe haha
Liked the story twist underground

haha thank you!! Glad you like it:)

oooh it's such a good game! I love the puzzle mechanic, puzzle design and graphics, which may look simple, but they're so polished!
Puzzles are really well thought out, and the level of polish is so good! Those normal maps on the edges, tiny particles when hitting wall, and the screen shake haha
As a person who happened to design one or 2 puzzle games, I really like this work!

haha thanks!! happy you liked it:)

oh, that was a *hardcore* platformer!
movement feels responsive and good; had a little problem with making diagonal dash, especially when key combinations got more complicated, but that's just me probably lol

Hey! Here's mine:
https://shy037.itch.io/find-it-before-it-finds-you
It's a short horror game about unveiling world with projector-like scanning mechanic
Hope you like it:)

(1 edit)

I think the most literal reference to the theme in my game is the 'simple' monster BUT I like to think there's another one: the way surroundings are rendered! I've implemented projector-like scanning mechanic that takes screenshot and renders it on objects, creating creepy, distorted and *aberrated* (lol) visuals

Here's a link if you wanna try

(Ah, and to start a game - just click LMB, I forgot to add a prompt)

Thank you! Yeah, pipe is little bugged :') It may happen when you stop for a little when you hear sliding sound; I believe if you try walk all the time, without stopping it should be fine?
Also sorry for low fps's! Didn't have time to properly optimize it 😅
Btw, what's your graphics card? Maybe I'll find sth similar to properly test game

spiral socket system is interesting, would like to see what else can be done with it
I feel like attack direction was a little too random - it makes game kinda hard and slow at the beginning
I like enemy designs - although they are have similar colors, it's easy to distinguish them
Good job!

Thanks! Yeah, I feel a little conflicted about those transparent walls - on one hand I liked the idea of seeing game progress, on the other a lot of people say it makes game less scary and/or buggy. Gotta think about it 😅

Twist at the end was nice! Well made shooting game(s).
I think some monsters get stuck on the wall when you stand in the corner between entrances, which makes challenge a bit easier - I didn't test it out well enough tho
And monster art is really cool!

Oh no, I thought I managed to fix that bug! 😅
Thanks for playing!!

taylor swift really adds to the experience

I liked the fighting mechanic, it feels polished. I didn't find it too hard (tho I got killed once) but maybe a little slow? But it's just my feeling.
As mentioned in some comments earlier, world and atmosphere are interesting - would like to see more of it
Good game!
