First off, really love how you used the art and the theme of cars through the rounds this year!
Loved the idea with the alarm showing the time (would have liked some feedback on the "button mash space" at that part, since I had no indication if my massing was doing anything. I applaud the idea of the quick space to get donut, as it does mimic irl situations.

Congratulations on a great submission even with the time constraints! you definitely made me panic with all the breathing XD

Thanks as always for play and the feedback! Good points all around.

For the alarm clock feedback, I had the same thought - originally I was planning to do something like calculate the speed or rate of taps and use that to slow or speed up the handmade animation, but a) didn’t have time to code that, but more importantly b) I feel it still wouldn’t have worked, almost needed something like a more procedural animation to convey some kind of response. I threw my time elsewhere, but totally get in retrospect at least some visual feedback (like a a squiggle somewhere) would have been quick helpful.

Glad you liked the donut/bagel addition! =D And hopefully the slow breathing exercise also helped reduce your panic after haha

Mhm, makes sense!

While reading I had another question: I just noticed how curious it was you decided to make the characters move from right to left out the door.

In addition, the fact you had a small staircase leading to the door was such a nice choice to guide the eyes

I’ll admit I didn’t ponder it too closely - but in retrospect, I think it was because I had an implicit “180 rule” in my head. If you imagine the ending camera position of being behind the street-parked car (looking down the road the way the car is facing), and just “pan right” over to a cross section of the house, then indeed the door of the house would be on the left leading to the street.

oh yeah! Makes sense hehe
