If you are talking about the 2nd wolf boss, if you read the scientist notes they talk about how it never lets go. So its intentional. You just have to sneak past him without getting caught. Once you get the key in that area there is nothing else to do there anyway.
Getting passed this wolf is ridiculous. Can't shoot it, can't escape. Door open triggers are inconsistant so trying to avoid is problematic at best. On my tenth attempt now to avoid this wolf.
I suggest you have shoes equipped and no skirt to gain the most speed boost stat as possible. Just wait inside the door near the door to exit and wait for the right moment to escape.
The right way is to get the small key and unlock the box in a single-door room.Get the gas bottle and enter another single-door room to fill up the gas.Then put the gas bottle into a empty position next to the 2nd wolf's cage.You'll find the 2nd wolf killed
