Create your own project but based on some link's awakening memchanics that you like it. The idea is to explore whaot makes this game so cool and interesting to play for you and replicate in your own game. There is no wrong question.
if the game uses zelda (or any other franchise) characters, worlds, storylines, etc, it will be considered a clone or a fan game and will be disqualified. There is no limit for the gameplay aspect, but keep in mind that a direct clone in everything will have very few chances to win the jam.
