Really nice submission! I wasn't able to beat the mothership, but had a fun time getting there. I have some feedback, some of which you probably were aware of but just didn't have time to implement, but wanted to share to make your games even better in the future. I had too much money and didn't know what to do with it, also didn't get a chance to play around with all the bullet types since I just immediately bought the most expensive things. Sometimes when gems spawned from asteroids they spawned in a weird location towards the bottom right. Enemy bullets traveled so fast I didn't have time to dodge them. The spaceship moving randomly after getting hit caused me to lose track of myself in later levels and kept pushing me into more enemies. Then some small polishing touches such as some particles upon bullet hits, hit animations on enemies, maybe some lighting on the bullets given the dark background - those would have made the game feel even better. Anyway, I hope this didn't come off as negative, I really enjoyed your game, especially the bosses. Great work and congrats on the good submission!


Big thanks for the feedback! I did a calculation that to fully equip at max level the ship, you would need approximately 1 million money (4 weapons at the starting price of 2000 costs about 250,000 in total by level 10), so we made it rain y’all! Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to actually refine the play through, and it shows :-| The gems weirdly spawning I did catch, but it was too late to fix sadly. I completely agree with the speedy bullets, they’re a bit too unfair to the player. The knockback was intentional, but it seemed to be far too powerful. I think it was set that way due to the speedy bullets causing collision issues. And yes, some lighting effects would have been awesome - I never even considered it. I’ll keep that in mind for next time! Again, thanks for your feedback!
