Hey all. I've got a couple of game jams under my belt so far, one 2D game in Unity and one 3D game in Godot. Recently graduated developer with industry experience in C# and hobbyist experience in almost every other language. Looking for a serious team who needs a/another developer.

My Discord is 1Poseidon3. Hit me up if you're serious about making a decent game for this jam. Trying to slowly get more game dev/design experience for my resume (and I also just like making games but I'm not an artist and I'm not good at coming up with ideas for games themselves, just programming :)).

We have a rudimentary idea for a game and are looking for a 2D artist looking for a team as neither of us can do anything with art in any way. If you're interested, shoot me a message on Discord @1poseidon3 and let me know. If you want to show me what kind of art you do and some examples, that would be awesome. We are based in Eastern Time in case that creates problems for anyone.

Overall a decent game. A couple of issues that make me not able to rate it higher that have already been talked about but probably one of the most solid games I've played when rating for this jam.

The art and music is really well done. As far as the game, it's pretty basic but is executed well enough. Would've loved to see some more depth (upgrades and other rouge-like elements). The music doesn't loop which is odd.

I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said. Overall, it's a pretty basic game but it executes well on that and I didn't find any major bugs or glaring issues. Relatively easy and short. I did enjoy the enemy variation however they all had quite low health and offered little challenge. A solid foundation nonetheless.

I do like the concept of this game a lot. A procedurally generated, nightmare themed dungeon crawler sounds great. I do agree with the other reviewer though that it definitely needs more polish especially from a game design and programming perspective. Maybe if the doors were color coded with the clocks, it would make it easier to understand which clock opened which door. It also took me a bit to realize the clock alarm ringing I was hearing was trying to lead me to the clock and wasn't just random background noise. Also, I experienced the same thing the other reviewer did that the enemies died in one action. Maybe this was left over debug/testing code? Also, being able to decide whether or not you want to fight the monsters somewhat defeats the purpose I feel. I also think that, and this is just a tic-tacky thing, maybe Unity wasn't the best choice for this game. I understand if that's what you are comfortable with (and it actually is quite good for a top-down 2D RPG in Unity) but maybe Godot or one of the (many) RPG Maker engines would've been a better choice, the latter automatically fixing a lot of the polish issues you are experiencing. I hope these comments and feedback are helpful to you.
