Graphics and audio are amazing!
The game itself is quite classic, but endless runner are always fun so that's cool :)
Would love to see some power-ups or a way to change a bit the gameplay to add some replayability.
I really love the concept of accumulating a lot of power-ups to become stronger and stronger!
It's a bit sad the game is very difficult: I've lost twice against the second boss, the bird, and I didn't have the courage to try again ^^'
It's because hitboxes are not very permissive for the player, and bosses are sooooo long to kill (20 hits for the first one... !).
If you plan to continue this game development, I strongly suggest you to lower enemies HP, and give some bonuses to heal player after a boss fight.
The concept is so neat, I would love to see more power-ups: so please let bad players like me enjoy your good ideas by making the game more accessible :D
Hehe, another game with AI as the main theme :D
The game is quite hard, it would be great to start into a more player-friendly level with a smoother difficulty curve.
Oh, and please please please, when you create a game, don't forget about players with AZERTY keyboard!
WASD is very not convenient, making the game even harder for us :(
That's said, I check the source code on GitHub and it's very clean! I wonder why you didn't participate to the js13k challenge, it seems your code is not heavy at all... Maybe because of images?
A game with a very cool atmosphere. I very like the graphics and the universe.
There are a LOT of texts, but at least it shows us the "lore" of the game, which is quite cool.
I also appreciate the humor :)
After this awesome presentation, the gameplay itself is a bit disappointing to be honest. I expected to walk into some levels and shoot on weird enemies, but it seems the goal was just to click on two buttons in the hope the RNG will be nice with the player ^^'
I understand it's quite hard to polish the game presentation and the gameplay in so little time!
I feel it's always hard to submit a shooter game in a jam as it's very difficult to be innovative in this genre.
That's said, this game masters its subject to perfection: very nice graphiques, lot of cool fx, very good music... If it was released at the golden age of arcade, I could totally see it as a classic!
This entry is my favorite one for this jam so far!
I really have the "Luigi's Mansion" feeling, it was a very good experience for me :)
I've finished the game (first try :D): there are a lot of different monsters (even if the worst ones are the most basic: the rats! I've lost life only to them x')), and there're even bosses!
I didn't really understand the benefits of tipping, the final plot twist about it was nice.
I just had a very minor yet frustrating bug: if our character is walking along walls, it seems we have a chance to be a bit stuck, preventing us to move. Quite dangerous with these stupid rats coming aroung :p
That's said, very polished game. Very well done!
A small but cool and well-executed platformer. I've finished it and would love to see more levels!
Maybe we should have a drawback when using the power to see plarforms (another drawback than "player can't move anymore"), 'cause it's quite easy to abuse it. Maybe authorize it a certain number of times? And add items to earn the right to use it again?
I like seeing smart stuff, and the way you check the NPC challenge with the mouse indirectly controlled by our character is very smart :D
The explosions are quite impressive, I bet you spend some time working on them!
I would love to see more changes between levels (new obstacles, ennemies, power-ups?).
I also wonder why our character has some stats (HP, MP, level)...? It looks like you used a tool like RPG-Maker but didn't have enough time to fully customize it :D
Still a nice entry! :)
Very nice graphcis and music/sounds effect!
The concept is fun and fit perfectly the theme, very well done.
The only point of improvement I could see is trying to add a better feeling of progress. In my opinion, the game would be better if it started with less devices, while adding more and more when player reaches new levels.
That's said, it's a very very solid entry, I really like it :)
This game reminds me of Megaman!
It's very cool to have two very different powers, it helps a lot for the replayability.
I think that linking our AMO to our life is an interesting concept, but it would be even cooler if killing enemy would be more useful than juste earning some points. If you plan to continue this game after the jam, I would suggest a shop to buy some bonus/power ups with these points, so that taking the risk to fight enemies can be worth.
As for now, it seems way better for the player to just keep running and avoiding enemies, which is a bit sad ^^'
But it's a very solid entry, well done!
I like games that imitate computer interfaces. It gives the impression to use someone else computer, it gives the feeling to be an hacker x')
Like a lot of people in the comments, I didn't get what to do once the Twitter account is discovered. The game probably lacks some visual hints or something ^^'
Don't forget players are not in your brain and cannot read your mind, something obvious for you as a dev can be easily missed by players.
It's too bad, 'cause I feel there's a real potential here!
What a nice game! Having time as life and clocks as ennemies is a smart way to embrace the theme of the jam. The game is quite difficult, but when we loose it is not because of the game, but because of our skills, so well done :)
Just a note: WASD controls are fine for a QWERTY keyboard, not for AZERTY. It would be great to also handle arrows keys or, even better, let's the player configure the keys :)
(but I know it may be overkill for a jam)
I love the idea to play the same cards than the opponent, but in reverse order, it leads to unusual thoughts!
More cards randomly chosen between games would be great, so that the stratgy can be different from game to game.
I didn't understand how to unlock the locked places, I may have miss something ^^'
Very well done :)
Thank you so much for your nice feedback!
Th camera movement is honestly because of a lack of skills on my side ^^'. It's quite hard to manipulate scroll view based on CSS position with vanilla JS, I think my method is a bit too naive.
What you said about the putter and the lift is so true... I don't get why it didn't cross my mind when developing it, I'll fix that in a v2, for sure x)
Thanks again for your valuable advices :)
In love with this drawing style, it's so cute! It would be great to go even further on this idea, with maybe some eraser or ripped paper.
The platform gameplay is not really precise (I spent so much time on the first level because of the first hole), but maybe it's because I'm just bad :p
Anyway, wonderful entry!
This dinosaur is so cute! I like a lot the idea to carry the egg with us. I would even go further and not having HP points at all, so that we only had the egg to care about :)
Brambles are a bit too dark in my opinion, they look like they're part of the backgrounds.
I unfortunately went out of bounds: I went a bit to far on the right of mushrooms and the dinosaur has fallen through the ground ^^'
Anyway, it's very fun to play and the music adds a good vibe to the game: well done!
I love the style of this game, very nice looking, and the audio is great too. The dinosaur theme is very appealing for myself and, even if the idea is not that innovative, it's really well executed.
I just didn't get the purpose of the hidden blue eggs ^^'
Oh, and it's a bit sad than the dinosaurs can suicide themselves in the water, poor dinos!
Overwall, very good game, well done :)
Oh, sorry for that...!
May I know on which browser you tried to play? It supposes to work on last version of Chrome, Firefox and Edge, but with web we never know ^^'
For your information, controls don't work very well on mobile, and we need a full click on the button, not just a mousedown: maybe that's you issue.
