Super fun game! This is probably the best use of the chain reaction theme, and the sound design and visual effects really add to the atmosphere. You did a pretty good job of slowly introducing new mechanics. I think incentivising players to solve the puzzle in fewer tries would make it much more interesting and encourage players to think about their actions.

Thanks for the reply! The mini-game idea is also amazing and would definitely make the game more engaging

Hey! This was a pretty fun game - it took me a bit too long than I would like to admit to figure out how it works, but it was pretty fun and I was engaged throughout. It's a cool concept with a pretty nice art style. Great job!

Hi, I'm really sorry you're not able to play the game. I've used Godot to make the game, and from what I have understood, the game engine manages the game's web build.

As a beginner game dev, I feel like diagnosing the problem is beyond me for now. If possible, you can try playing the game on a different browser. Otherwise, thanks for giving it a try anyway!

Thanks for your reply! Since I have been playing with the mouse controls from the start, I got used to them without realizing that they might be difficult for others. But yeah, I think I might work on adding other control options next like a controller or touch support. And I just realized that I misspelled the name of the game on the website, will fix it now.

Yeah, I've realized that people did not always understand how the UI of the game worked. I honestly should have given it more thought or put in instructions on how to interact with them at the very least. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for your feedback! I think a general idea that I've got is that I should have got people to playtest the game, as by playing it myself, I was unable to notice that the game was becoming so difficult

I was a bit confused at first, but once I got it, I enjoyed playing

Yeah, I should have done a little playtesting but the game is probably a bit difficult. I would say playing in fullscreen makes it slightly easier as you get more reaction time, but I think I will update it so that the camera's less zoomed in and enemies are slower

Thanks for your feedback! I have just added a small instruction on the front page explaining how pressing spacebar allows you to boost!

yeah sorry about that. I have edited my post

I created this game for a game jam and would love it if you could give your opinion on it

Engage in an adrenaline-pumping space escapade where you take command of a  spaceship in the vastness of the cosmos. Your objective: Survive the relentless onslaught of enemy spaceships and score big by unleashing calculated boost-powered dashes to obliterate your foes!

Hi, I would love it if you could rate my game:

Wow one of the best games of this jam. Loved the execution

A nice different take on the theme but quiet difficult to actually play. I tried several times but couldn't get too far without exploiting the sticky walls

Haha I had fun playing this game, and the aesthetics worked well with the wacky nature of the game.

The game feels well-balanced, although a game like this might feel better with faster movement and larger attack hitboxes. Nice game!

Fun idea and a cool game, although definitely on the challenging side

I really like how the aesthetics and sound design have been implemented and the overall combat felt fun. The boss fight was also fun, although in such cases I am a believer that a little more screen shake always helps

Hi, I'm sorry if it was not clear but if you press the spacebar, you activate your boost ability which allows you to crash into other things, like enemies and the crash button

I have recently edited my game, and I am unsure if I should resubmit it

This is a game that I had made for a college game jam a while back and I thought to share it with the community for some feedback. The theme of the game jam was "Time"

I have been using the new version of Godot for this game jam, and when I went to upload my game (from my Mac), I started running into several issues. I then read the Godot docs and realized that the web build does not work on mac os yet in Godot 4.

Should I instead upload downloadable files for my game?

Here's my game: https://ady23.itch.io/climate-deniers-inc

Hi! It would be really cool if you could play my game! https://ady23.itch.io/climate-deniers-inc

oh? Ok thanks for telling. It didn't load for me at all after posting on itch

Thanks, but did it even load for you?

Yeah, I realised way too late that the final game didn't seem to load in itch - even though it worked fine in godot.

I couldn't figure out in time how to fix it :/
